Zeitschrift für Alttürkische Studien

Journal of Old Turkic Studies / Zeitschrift für Alttürkische Studien is an international peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of Medieval Turkic philology, history, culture, and literature. The journal welcomes theoretically informed, methodologically rigorous work on texts, language, and material culture of the Medieval period, with a focus on Central Asia and related regions. Contributions from historians, philologists, cultural scholars, and literary researchers are invited. Published three times a year, the journal may also host special issues. Its review section is freely accessible. Manuscripts can be submitted in English, German, Turkish, or French. All submissions undergo double blind peer review.
